Summer days...and Twilightitis

The Summer is winding down and I have really enjoyed my kids this summer. It doesn't seem like we have done much but they have been pretty good kids. I really (most days) am not ready for my boys to head back to school. And most certainly not ready for the cold weather. But the kids are making the most of their time and headed out front yesterday set up their little tents to play in. I thought it was cute so I snapped a few pics.

She discovered she had pockets and that her hands would fit in them so she walked around with her hand in the pockets it was cute.

Tanner couldn't find all of his poles for his tent so I helped him set his up with some chairs they thought it was cool because it was a real fort.

OK so I was BITTEN.......I love the twilight series.... I was obsessed with them I read the first three about a month ago. They are about 6-700 hundred pages each. I read all three in 5days that was with working everyday. I was obsessed. I couldn't put them down. It has been a long time since I have read books this good. Anyways the fourth and final book of the series (breaking dawn) comes out at 12:01 am on Aug. 2ND. Barnes and Noble is having a big release party and me and kaylie and my mother in law are going. We are so excited. I will take some pics they are having a look alike competition so if the freaks are out I am sure they will be there. And if you haven't read the books go and get them.. No RUN and get them you wont be sorry!!!

Camping and kids

The other night I walked into the kitchen to see what my girls were doing and this is what I found. They were coverd in flour and so was the floor!


I told them they better get busy and so they did. Preslie grabbed the broom and started to sweep.

Lainee grabbed the vacum and sucked it all up. That was a little faster it cleaned up fast so their little bottoms were saved this time.


We went on another camping trip this weekend Ashlyn was happy to pose for a picture. Lainee was not so happy!

Shontae looks thrilled to be there. Lainee is not tired. No she just woke up from a nap she fell asleep at 8 and was up and goin at 9.

The sky was really pretty with the storm clouds and the sun setting it was amazing to sit there and watch.

Rons dad came up on saturday and spent the day. Lainee took this picture of him. The kids were excited to show off for him on their turf.


Kaylie was trying to avoid the camera all weekend but I finally snapped one when she wasn't looking.

She decided to try out stetson's dirt bike anda only about biffed it once. She done pretty good.

Wayne (rons brother) and his kids came up for the weekend also to visit. Maddux was cheesing for the picture I thought it was way cute.

We had a good time. I am glad derrick and his kids came up and wayne and his kids and dale. We have a lot more fun with friends and family.

Deprived Children or Creative Parenting?

Every summer we go to wal-mart and buy a new pool for the kids to play in. We have to do this every year because the kids drag the pool out and leave it laying around and ruin it. So this year I said I will not buy a new one. We just won't have a pool you will have to run through the sprinklers and jump on the tramp with water. They whined but have given up. Well today they were thoroughly bored. We were supposed to go to the park but they were horrible to each other and to me so the park trip got cancelled. They finally decided they were bored enough to start to play together and went out back. They came in and I asked them why I could hear the water running. They said they were filling up their swimming pools? SO I new this would be good I grabbed the camera and me and preslie headed out back I about died when i seen their pools. I couldn't decide if I had deprived them of fun or If I caused them to use their imaginations?

She also played like she was driving the beat up, broken down ,dead battery, hot wheel.

Then she decided she would join the other fishes in their pools.

They all played for awhile and then the "pools" were left on the back lawn for me to put up before their dad came home and seen them. Like I said that is the reason they don't have a pool to begin with.

But at least they had fun. Probaly more fun than with a pool because they laughed and laughed at themselves for coming up with such a great idea!!

Fourth of July

We spent the morning of the 4Th of July at my mom and dads. We went up to the park in tropic for a couple of hours.

and then finally they came. The kids were actually quiet for 15 min its was great.

WE had a good fourth.I hope you all did too.

I have learned to pick and chose my battles with lainee dressing herself. If we are just at home I let her dress herself. I got quite a laugh with this little ensemble.The hat was a great touch.









SO lainee is going through that stage where she wants to be independent. She wanted cereal the other morning and she fought me to let her do it herself. She has done it before by herself and me and ron were busy so I said ok go a head and get it. I walked into the kitchen a little while later and about died laughing It was so funny I* could not be mad.

I think this required about half a bag of cereal and half a gallon of milk but it sure was good i guess.

Camping,Baseball,and Playing

We decided to go camping this weekend so Friday afternoon we headed up ON the mountain. It was nice to relax for awhile and let the kids run and play. It is always hard to come back to reality after being up there.




Ron's brothers Wayne and Jace went with us and stayed in our trailer with us wayne had is baby maddux also but i didn't get any pics of him.

Oh we were so dirty . They had so much fun though.

Hi. For just 25cents per day you can feed us for a whole week. The kids looked like orphans by the time we went home.

Tanner has been playing t-ball for the past 6 weeks but i have Forgotten my camera every time so this was his last game. Hitting the ball.

Playing second base. He loves baseball and he's pretty good in t-ball they don't keep score but if you get someone out they are out. Well usually no one ever get out because the kids don't really know what they are doing. Tanner gets a couple of kids out every game. Some one always end up crying. He might get to go to coach pitch next year I hope he is ready.
