The Big Race!!

Well we traveled to vegas this weekend for the big race. We forgot our camera so sorry no pics. It was an awesome race Jr. was a contender the entire race. His car was awesome but he fought it the whole day they were having tire issues and couldn't seem to get the car dialed in. Despite all that I think jr had the car to win although seeing a 2nd place finish was great. Carl Edwards car was untouchable no one could even come close to him. on restarts he would blow them away and keep on running. Come to find out Edwards did not have his oil cap on! /Which creates more down force which creates more speed. We had great seats near the start finish line and were close to lots of great crashes. We couldn't see most of the jeff gordon one though. but it was spectacular.I kinda have to like him though now being jrs teammate and all. although it was still fun to watch him wreck.so back to carl edwards the decision will be made today but I think that they should take the trophy away and give it jr. Not just because it 's jr but because rules are rules and cheating is cheating. after all i remember when a little four letter word cost jr the championship!!

For the very first time!

This is a little basinet I let the little boy I watch sleep in. The girls climbed in and I found them this way.I had to grab the camera I thought it was so cute.

One thing I love most about being a parent is watcing my kids do something for the very first time! The kids were all eating lik-em-aids and preslie wanted some soo bad so I gave her one showed her how to lick the stick and then dip it in the powder. It was sheer delight! She would say ummm with every bite and wow and giggle. It was the sweetest thing. I had to take a photo of her very much so enjoying her first lik-em-aid.

So tiffany tagged me but i am not sure if I am doing this right. I guess I just give 5 thing about myself. If i am wrong then I guess you all just learned something about me anyways.

1. I am the most impatient person I know. In fact I am so inpatient I get irritated with myself for not doing what I need to do on time. It drives my husband and kids crazy if I say take out the garage I literally mean right now this second and if not I will go crazy. P.s ( I get this from my dad)

2. I am a very punctual person. If I need to be somewhere at three I will be there at three on the dot. sometimes a little early but never late!! If I am late it refers to #1 and I freak out. (I have to take meds before I go anywhere with stephanie because she is the most unpunctual person I know). Mabey I have ocd!

3. I love my children with a passion. Sometimes it's too much and I realize I am one of those parents who smother their children and are overbearingly protective. I am really working on this one and trying to give up a little bit of the control but not the love!!

4. I love the smell of rain. I would live where it rained everyday if I could. I love to sit outside and watch it , hear it, and smell it. There is just no other feeling like it.

5. And now that you all think I am a freak I am really not so bad. I am the most loyal friend a person can have if I give you my word it is my everything. I would listen to you until you are blue in the face and I try to never judge my friends and family .( I am a people watcher and you have to judge them or it's no fun)

so there you have it 5 facts about me. I am not sure if you will think weirdo or not I guess for those of you who already know me you have probably discussed these things about me amongst yourselves and you just didn't think I realized them about myself. ha ha ..

I sold our couches (they were a brown miro-fiber) and bought these . It is a sofa loveseat and rocking chair. Ron hates them!! He said they look like something you would find at his granmothers house.(then his grandmother must have good taste!) I love them we are just finishing painting the walls brown and will be adding a tile walkway to the kitchen and putting in a new brown and cream color carpet. (so don't look at the ugly green carpet)Anyway what do yu think are the country and feel homey or are they old timer feeling. Be honest.


This is what ron got a flat screen and you can actually read the words on it. It's great. so I say you have a new t.v does it really matter what color the couch is that you sit in to watch it. plus mabey it will hurry him to get the man den finished faster (the basement)..He gets an even bigger t.v. down there and what ever color couch he wants!!!!!!

I also need to update that JR. won the Bud shootout!!!! It was great to see him in victory lane agian and he lead almost all of the 70 laps. The national guard car was really actually cool. I am really looking forward to sundays 50th running of the daytona 500 (the superbowl of nascar). Even if jr. dont win I know he will have a strong finish and an awsome year. I can't wait to see him in vegas!!!

Congrats!!!!

Congrats to my brother and sister-in-law! They are having a new baby girl in april. We thought this was never going to happen.(we thought they were done)I guess you should never count anyone out. We are so excited for them each child is such a special little piece of heaven and this little girl will be sent from some very special arms.We love and miss all you Connecticut folks but are thrilled about my new little niece.

A compelling site!

As I was bored today ( yes we sluffed church, the excuse the superbowl, the problem the superbowl doesn't start until 4pm and our church goes from 9-12) I was blog hopping and came across a really compelling story about a husband of a wife with cystic fibrosis who is awaiting a double lung transplant and is in the same hospital with her new baby who was born 15+ weeks early and is in the nicu. It is a really great blog and I will have the site down on my favorite bloggers. Check it out I will be following these amazing people through their journey for life. They are really an inspiration!!!
