School Lunch?

School lunch..

This year my boys decided that they did not want to eat school lunch. I debated this idea alot because A) They only charge $1.75 per child that is pretty cheap. Can I do home lunch for this price. and B) Will they get sick of it.

I finally gave in after they begged and begged and bought lunch boxes. and some supplies and we have done them everyday so far this year with no complaints.

My question is do any of you do home lunches? If you do what do you do? I would love some ideas so I can keep the cost low and mix it up. They are liking it so we are committed for a while but I wonder how long cold sandwiches can remain exciting.

If you have any ideas I would love them!!

Breaking News!!

Thanks for all of your help searching but the lost man is found......He reported to home at about 1:00 p.m. today and said that he had wounded a deer. He came in used my shower, put on some clean clothes gave a kiss and was gone again. Then at around 5:00 p.m He showed up with is prize. I am really proud of him. This is a rally nice buck. I don't have all the dimensions but it is really pretty up close with the velvet and the heavy horns.

For those of you who don't archery hunt or have an archery hunter. It is very difficult to shoot a buck period with a bow let alone the bigger smarter bucks because you have to get really close to them to be able to hit them. So this is a great archery buck.

I am really glad wayne was with ron on this hunt.I know it meant alot to ron to have his little brother with him when he got this deer. I don't think their is anyone else he would have wanted to share this with more than his brother.

And no this is still not the end of the hunting season. Ron will still saddle up and go with anyone who will have him and I know he is determined to make sure wayne get one so he will put in time to help him.

It is that time of year again. The time I loath!! The opening weekend of the bow hunt and all hunting seasons run from one to the other. By Christmas when this man shows up at my house again I am wondering who he is. I would really like to know what moron invented the dedicated hunter program. Letting someone hunt all hunts that is crazy. They knew these men would beg their wives like a little kid in a candy store to get one of these tags. And make stupid promises like I won't even be hunting as much if you let me go dedicated. I mean who would fall for that. UHHHH I did!!!!!!!!!!

Make men forget that they have lives. They seem to go into some sort of trance. You know have you ever seen an animal in heat.. Their eyes glaze over they get tons of adrenaline and they loose their mind literally they will do anything even kill themselves trying to get their fix. Well that is a man at hunting season. Ron's eyes were glazed over and he looked literally crazy to get out of here and get on the mountain on Friday. It's just plain scary I tell you....

Family Gathering

This past weekend we met at my mom and dad's for a family gathering. Cary and Cindy and the kids were down and I hadn't seen them about three years. They have all grown and changed so much. i miss them already but we had a really great time while they were here.

Breaking Dawn

Well I forgot my camera!!!! The whole weekend was fun We swan at the motel and went shopping. WE got lots of school stuff and went to the tuchaun. Everyone had a good time. I wish I had pictures! The Breaking dawn release party was fun. The best part was of course the book. Which is why I have been absent for a while. I have been glued to the book. My children are wondering if they have a mother anymore. I finished the book at about 10:00 pm last night. It was a really great ending to a really great story. I think I will take a break for awhile and then read them all again.. Now I just look forward to the release of the movie 12-12-08!!!!!

Summer days...and Twilightitis

The Summer is winding down and I have really enjoyed my kids this summer. It doesn't seem like we have done much but they have been pretty good kids. I really (most days) am not ready for my boys to head back to school. And most certainly not ready for the cold weather. But the kids are making the most of their time and headed out front yesterday set up their little tents to play in. I thought it was cute so I snapped a few pics.

Tanner couldn't find all of his poles for his tent so I helped him set his up with some chairs they thought it was cool because it was a real fort.

OK so I was BITTEN.......I love the twilight series.... I was obsessed with them I read the first three about a month ago. They are about 6-700 hundred pages each. I read all three in 5days that was with working everyday. I was obsessed. I couldn't put them down. It has been a long time since I have read books this good. Anyways the fourth and final book of the series (breaking dawn) comes out at 12:01 am on Aug. 2ND. Barnes and Noble is having a big release party and me and kaylie and my mother in law are going. We are so excited. I will take some pics they are having a look alike competition so if the freaks are out I am sure they will be there. And if you haven't read the books go and get them.. No RUN and get them you wont be sorry!!!

Camping and kids

The other night I walked into the kitchen to see what my girls were doing and this is what I found. They were coverd in flour and so was the floor!


I told them they better get busy and so they did. Preslie grabbed the broom and started to sweep.

Lainee grabbed the vacum and sucked it all up. That was a little faster it cleaned up fast so their little bottoms were saved this time.


We went on another camping trip this weekend Ashlyn was happy to pose for a picture. Lainee was not so happy!

Shontae looks thrilled to be there. Lainee is not tired. No she just woke up from a nap she fell asleep at 8 and was up and goin at 9.

The sky was really pretty with the storm clouds and the sun setting it was amazing to sit there and watch.

Rons dad came up on saturday and spent the day. Lainee took this picture of him. The kids were excited to show off for him on their turf.


Kaylie was trying to avoid the camera all weekend but I finally snapped one when she wasn't looking.

She decided to try out stetson's dirt bike anda only about biffed it once. She done pretty good.

Wayne (rons brother) and his kids came up for the weekend also to visit. Maddux was cheesing for the picture I thought it was way cute.
