Keeping kids busy.

Friday steph went into have her baby and me and my mom and Ron were on kid duty. I had went to the craft store to get some stuff to entertain them. We made some foam necklaces and then these bags that they were going to take treats home in later.

We made smores on a stick. The kids had a ball doing this all by themselves.

getting into the chocolate dipping.

some of the finished product.

They put these in their bags and took them home with them. Over all we had a good day. I think the kids had fun. And congrats to steph and clint on their new baby girl. she is beautiful. And a BIG thanks to my wonderful husband who watched all of the kids (at one time) for about three hours while we all went to the hospital. he is not used to that and so i know how nervous he was. i appreciate you doing this for me so I could be a part of stephs baby's birth. I love you your the best.

Tanner's Toilet Flood

Wed night tanner headed to our bathroom to do his thing. From previous posts you all know that it seems that when tanner uses the bathroom it always seems to go bad (the clothes starting on fire earlier this year). Well I knew he was back there I was doing something and forgot about it. He came out and I knew he was finished I should have went and checked to make sure tings were still standing but I didn't. Ron was gone and about an hour later Ron came home he headed back to use the bathroom and I heard a few choice words escape his mouth and I knew something was bad. Tanner had clogged the toilet when he flushed and the pump had stuck at the same time and water was pumping out pretty fast from the toilet bowl. WE hurried and shut off the water and Ron headed to home depot to get a new toilet. I got the shop vac and began to suck water. We worked until late into the night until we both finished our projects. The next day I called the insurance company because the water was out into our bedroom about 2 feet, into our closet ,and had went down the heating vent and soaked a wall downstairs . They said I should tear back the carpet and take the pad out. So sat we did this but didn't want to tear up the bathroom floor until we knew what they were going to do. The adjuster from the insurance came today and looked at it. She said we would need to replace all the carpet and the linoleum and fix the sheet rock tape on the wall downstairs. They cut us a check to do this. I am thankful we have a good insurance company because without it we would not be able to repair this mess. I think we are going to build an out house outside for tanner that is the safest way for him to use the bathroom.

This is what my bedroom looks like now minus the carpet pad we cut out. I will keep you posted and show you the new photos when we get it all put back together.

Pumpkins, Halloween and our Anniversary

I need to catch up on my blogging so bear with me on this.

We go to the pumpkin patch every year in paragonah to pick our pumpkins, this year it was freezing and the girls had fallen asleep on the way over and were extremely ornery. So it was a quick miserable trip but we got the pumpkins none the less.

Stetson with his big pick

Tanner with his pick

Lainee showing her misery so Kaylie helped her get a pumpkin

Preslie all bundled up and everyone ready to go

stetson getting his guts out

Tanner was the least thrilled about gutting his

Lainee was having a blast

Preslie just dug right in. She loved it she even enjoyed eating the raw seeds

The proud carvers with their finished products. I think they all done a great job.
I didn't get a lot of Halloween pics but we always have our carnival a week early so I took some of the kids in their costumes then.

Stetson as a pierced devil. He done his all by himself while I was working on the girls. I think he did a really good job.

Tanner was a vampire
Lainee was a fairy.(she wore the wings upside down)

Preslie was Tinkerbell she loved her costume
And today is our Anniversary. EIGHT years today!! It seems like longer but in a good way it just seems like I can't remember my life before Ron. I don't think I want to remember it without him. Here is a trip down memory lane. ( It took me forever after I scanned these pictures to convert them into jpeg format. After that I could not get them to go to a regular size so just bear with them.)

Me and Ron at our wedding

Me and my dress. I loved my dress!!

Ron putting my ring on

Our cake I loved it too!!

Now This is us EIGHT years later. (We are missing shawn and Kaylie in the pic)
We are sure alot more now. But I love it!! We have both changed so much But only for the better.I love every one of our children and could not imagine life without them. I adore our life we have built together. It is hard and some days I just want to scream. But I chose a good man who loves us so much and is a wonderful husband and an awsome father. It has been the best EIGHT years of my life and I know that they will only get better. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY baby I LOVE YOU!!!!!

FOR SALE

I have a truck for sale and I thought would use all my resources to try and sell it.

It is a 2001 Ford Ranger Ext. cab. four wheel drive. Has new tires and tool box. It it in great condition and runs great. It gets good gas mileage and is an overall great truck. We just bought it a few months ago and really liked it. However I decided that we did not need three vehicles and we needed to get rid of one of them. The expedition is the only one we can all fit in. The dodge truck is what we have to have to pull the trailer with. SO as much as Ron wants to keep the truck It has to go. We just can't justify one vehicle sitting in the yard never being used.
So if you are interested or know someone who may be give us a call it's a great little truck. we are asking $4000.00 we have just dropped it by $1000.00 435-463-1274 thanks.

Aaron Eckhart
He served a full-time mission in France, but "he becomes annoyed when asked how his Mormon faith influences his work, saying he shouldn't be 'the poster child' for the church. Katie's values come from her parents and the Mormon church. She did not begin dating until she was 16. I didn't always agree with everything they said, but I'd always defer to them." Katie hasn't had much success overcoming what she sees as her faults. "I haven't been an actively practicing Mormon in years," she admits. "I still have a fondness for the Mormon religion and theology. A lot of my friends are mormon.

Stay at home mom (sort of)

WARNING: This message is long and may insult some readers. Please proceed with caution and at your own risk. If you willingly read you cannot hold anything said against me. Kyla

I work about 25hrs a week. The rest of the time I am at home with my kids. Recently I was told how nice it would be to stay at home and relax and do nothing. I was so peeved By this comment I decided to document my day to show those people what I do in a typical day. Though the circumstances may change slightly the hectic schedule is the same.

My day begins at 8:00 am When I wake the boys for school. I give them clothes and make them breakfast. Then I make and pack their lunches and their back packs and send them out the door to meet the bus at 8:30 am. I then feed the girls breakfast and get them ready for the day.

At 9:00am I cleaned the kids bathroom and started my laundry.

At 10:00am I cleaned the breakfast dishes and counters in the kitchen. I then swept and moped my kitchen floor. and changed my laundry.

At 11:00 am Stetson called and said he had a migraine.I needed to run errands so I quickly got my stuff ready and went to the school and picked up stetson. I then went to maverick because I was out of gas and pulled up to the pump only to realize that they were out of fuel ON EVERY PUMP!.

So we head to kb and grab gas. Lainee begins to scream because she wants a sucker and I will not go get her one. The screaming goes the entire time that we are in town she has to sit on her bed when we get home for half and hour screaming before she finally calms down and asks for a hug and kiss and says she is sorry.

Meanwhile in town still preslie begins to copy lainee and starts chanting. Want sucker please mom want sucker please. This goes on as well. We make it to the bank where I will pay my bills only to find that the sign read closed. That's right it's Columbus day!! So our painful trip was all for nothing. and we head home. With the want sucker music in the background.

I get home and gather the trash from all of the garbage's in the house and take it out clean and vacuum my front room I also vacuum under the couches and under the cushions. Then I make lunch and feed the kids it's about 2:00pm . I take a short little break before I change and fold more laundry. Tanner arrives form school at 4:00pm and we gather to do homework.

I start to make dinner and the kids beg me to help them make their roasted pumpkin seeds so we do. Still trying to get all the homework done. (stetson is being difficult this particular night and does not want to do his.)

Tanner finishes his homework and stetson gets his migraine back we medicate him again and send him off the lie down hoping we caught it in time that he doesn't get sick enough to throw up. The rest of me and the kids eat dinner. And I clean up the kitchen and do the dishes.

At 8:00pm I fold my last batch of laundry and begin to put it away. I get the girls bathed and in their pj's by 9:00pm and get the boys tucked in.

Ron gets home and I get him his dinner by a little after nine i think. (it tastes much better than it looks I promise). I go in and cuddle with the girls for a min. and by 9:30 they are snoring logs. I pick up a few things in my front room and sit to enjoy my favorite show that I recorded THE HILLS. I enjoy every last quiet min. of it and at 10:00pm I head to bed feeling frazzled and ready to begin again tomorrow. (I work thurs. night and a double shift on fri). SO Ron has duties on these days. I also lay in bed thinking of what didn't get done. Lainees bedroom my bathroom. The pantry .the dusting. All the things to remember to do tomorrow.

This is what my days are like now I confess while I was busy folding laundry I did chat on the phone with stephanie and josie for awhile. And I did enjoy a few chapters of a book my sister in law gave to me in my down time before tanner came home from school. I love my family and I love being with them. I also enjoy my work days because I get to socialize a bit. But what irks me is people thinking that just because you don't punch a 9to5 job every day that you are at home sitting on your A** watching t.v. or they come to your home and see a few toys on the floor or some mess becaue trust me their is always one that you did nothing all day. Not considering that you are one person doing everything. Live in my world or any other mothers for a day and you will see it's not so easy. If you are one of those people who have this all figured out hey I'm all open to suggestions.
